Hump daayyyy
Another morning devo! Summer and Oliver are so cute (they're wrapped in the blankets).
Today, we had to combine day 2 and day 3 VBS since the school would be closed tomorrow for a very important parade. For the last day, we performed two more skits, sang the same songs as yesterday, and gave a message. We talked about the story of David and Goliath and then prayed for students who believe in Jesus or wanted to put their faith in Jesus.
Since we had to combine the days, there were A LOT of activities happening. We started with Bible study, gave them gospel bracelets and shared what each bead color meant, gave them temporary tattoos, made a handprint cross, then took Polaroid pictures of them in front of some backdrops.
The teacher also participated in the Bible study activity. He seemed really excited to color his own lion.
It was so sad to see them go, but we hope we were able to brighten their days— even by a little bit— this past week.
We had lunch at the same spot as yesterday, so our table decided to try something new. I had an amazing gringa al pastor.

We went back to our housing for a small break, then drove to a church near the school for an evening service.
Not very many people were there when we arrived, so we warmed up with some praise songs. Once we got into the 2nd praise song, there was a loud screeching noise echoing around us. It sounded like one of those noisy analog TVs when the signal is lost.
We sort of glanced at each other, trying to find the source of the sound. When we finished with praise, we found that the noise was coming from the heavy rain hitting the ceiling of the church building. We had to slightly adjust and sing over the noise.
I think the rain delayed some people because families started trickling in soon after. We sang songs again then performed some skits. Two of our youth students shared their wonderful testimonies with the church.
Lastly, we spent some time praying together and praying for the church.
By the time we left, it was maybe around 8PM. Since we didn't have dinner earlier, we went to have pizza. Great pizza by the way.
Anyway, we got back to our rooms pretty late. A lot of us started falling asleep at the restaurant, so I'm sure many of us went straight to bed.
Since tomorrow's VBS was canceled, we will instead be street evangelizing and praying for students on a college campus.
Please pray for:
Our team's health
The children we met this past week
The church
The college students we'll be meeting tomorrow
Thank you!
Anna
